MSI was founded in 1977 by Spiro Magionos. He came as a young immigrant from Greece to pursue the American Dream. Spiro dedicated himself to building a company founded on hard work, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. Spiro ensured that through decades of industry growth, challenges, and change, the values he established never wavered.

Kalousa Magionos has been part of MSI since marrying Spiro Magionos in 1982. Working side by side, they built relationships with ship owners, operators, managers, agents, and marine professionals throughout the Gulf Coast. Together, they grew MSI into a trusted name in marine supplies, repairs, and vessel support services.
As Spiro's wife, partner, and biggest supporter, Kalousa stood beside him through every challenge and success. Following Spiro's passing in 2018, she continued the company they built together, carrying forward the values, dedication, and commitment to service that have been the foundation of MSI since 1977.

Effie Magionos began working with MSI alongside her father in 2015, gaining firsthand knowledge of the marine industry and the family business. After earning her Bachelor of Science from the University of St. Thomas, she joined MSI full-time and took on an increasingly important role in the company's operations, accounting, customer relations, and business development.
Today, as a co-owner, Effie helps lead the company alongside her mother, while carrying forward the values and vision that defined MSI since 1977. Representing the next generation, she is committed to building upon her family's legacy and guiding MSI into the future.
